the best fucking news ever

Just got the results from rugrat's latest pap.

If you really want the background, you can read about it here, here, here, here, and here -- in order from oldest to newest.

For those of you new to my blog who just want the synopsis, she has the HPV virus, has had it for a year and a half. That has meant paps every three months, which have been positive, which has meant a biopsy to be sure cervical cells are still normal.

It's a painful procedure, and then there's the psych factor in waiting for the test results. It's basically been this heaviness hanging over us for so long that the stress has come out in other physical ways, like stomach problems, headaches, etc.

Well, the latest pap results...

drum roll, please...

NEGATIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That means no biopsy this time.

We still have to go back every four months for a year to be sure, but if the pap tests continue to be negative, after a year she's not high risk anymore and we can relax a bit.

Now THAT'S something to celebrate.

excellent news.

did you happen to try the miracle neutralizer that i sent?

that stuff really works to stop disease and illness.

it's not really kicking ass on this cold, however.... but it IS helping

Thanks, all. It has lifted the stress just a bit. Trying not to get too optimistic, but still...

Curious, get a shotgun. LOL. No, really, just be prepared for lots of heartache as you have to stand by and watch her make her own decisions -- even when it means she gets hurt in the process. We do our kids no favors when we try to shield them from all the bad in the world. We have to let them make their choices and deal with the consequences, good and bad. And as a mom, it sucks monkey balls.

Hey infini, hope that cold gets better soon. Colds suck monkey balls, too.
